Radstock is one of the best preserved former coal-mining towns in England - the basis of its conservation area status.
Visitors are able to immerse themselves in the history of the area in the exemplary Radstock Museum, which covers the industrial & social history of the North Somerset Coalfield.
Radstock Play Park, has an extensive range of play equipment for a variety of ages,
The Memorial Park provides an ideal space for informal relaxation by the brook.
Running into the town are two routes for cyclists and walkers - the local Greenway and a section of the national cycle network, running from Bath through Radstock and onto Frome and the South Coast.
There is a wide variety of walks available around Radstock, such as the Miners and Black Mountain trails
(guides available to buy from Bath Tourist Information Centre), and surrounding the town, set within glorious countryside are a wealth of attractions, including historic and picturesque villages.
